PURPOSE:To surely prevent troubles such as the variation of the mounting position and the incomplete mounting of a component and to shorten the mounting time required for the component by a method wherein a stopper is always located at the center between two guides, and arms are separated at the center of the board according to the width of the board to adjust a backup pin position. CONSTITUTION:The movement of a rear rail 28 is made two times as much as that of a backup pin slide table 46, and the table 46 is located always at an intermediate point between a front rail 24 and the rear rail 28. The rear rail 28 is separated from the front rail 24 by a prescribed distance corresponding to the width of the board, then a board 42 is fed in the direction of an arrow 108 and transferred from an input belt 36 to a centering belt 38. Detecting that the board 42 travels to a prescribed position, a board clamping mechanism providing to the pair of rails 24 and 28 side of a centering station 32 is made to start operating to clamp the board 42, whereby the position of the board 42 is attained. |
