A roof rack mounting system for vehicle having concealed drip moldings in which mounting plates (320, 420) are riveted to the roof return of a vehicle, on opposite sides of the vehicle underneath a vehicle upper door lip. Each mounting plate (320, 420) has two pins (333, 433) which fit into closed keyhole slots (332, 432) formed on a foot plate (330, 430). A leg section (356, 436) connects each foot plate (330, 430) to a hollow transverse beam (62). |
