<p>A transverse cutting device for webs of material, in particular textile webs, consists of a cutting station and a web feed with a web buffer, arranged on a common frame. The cutting station has a rotating disk cutter, and the device also comprises driven transport nippers and a tray on which the cut material is stacked. The machine can be operated automatically as well as manually in order to cut along cutting lines of any desired shape. To this end, the cutting station (2) is designed so that in one operating mode, the rotating disk cutter (8) can be moved back and forth across the web by means of a belt which can be disengaged and in another operating mode, the disk cutter (8) can be moved manually across the web and in the direction of motion of the web simultaneously.</p> |
