<p>PURPOSE:To improve the data processing efficiency by stopping the repeating actions of a peripheral circuit independently of the control of a CPU when the repeating action frequency of the peripheral circuit reaches a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:The action start data is set to a peripheral circuit 2 by a CPU 1 and the circuit 2 starts its action. Then the signals outputted every time when the circuit 2 finishes an action are counted independently of the control of the CPU 1. When this count value reaches a prescribed level, a signal is outputted to the circuit 2. Then the repeating actions of the circuit 2 are stopped independently of the control of the CPU 1. As a result, the CPU 1 is not required to monitor the repeating actions of the circuit 2 after the initialization is applied to the circuit 2. Thus the CPU 1 can perform other arithmetic operations and process data even while the circuit 2 is performing its repeating actions.</p> |
