<p>To determine the difference between the actual rotational speed of the body (10) of a guided missile and a nominal rotational speed a shaped output of a Hall effect cell (11H or 11V) is compared with a shaped output of an oscillator (33) and a signal indicative of any difference between the periods of the shaped outputs is derived by supplying the Hall effect cell output and the oscillator output to a phase detector 15, the output of which is coupled to a processor 25. The Hall effect cell is incorporated in an angular position sensor (11) that senses the rotation of the body (10) relative to a rotating gyroscope rotor (18).</p> |
