PURPOSE:To obtain the subject inhibitor, containing a compound of lignans, piperonyl butoxide or curcumin as an active ingredient, capable of regulating an in vivo fatty acid metabolic system, increasing dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid and eicosanoids and exhibiting various pharmacological effects. CONSTITUTION:An inhibitor containing a compound of lignans, e.g. sesamin, sesaminol, episesamin, episesaminol, sesamolin or 2-(3,4- methylenedioxyphenyl)-6-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl-3,7-dioxabicyclo[2. 3.0]octane, piperonyl butoxide which is an agricultural chemical synergistic agent or curcumin which is a crude drug ingredient as an active ingredient. The aforementioned inhibitor can be expected to have antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive action, etc., and utilization as a functional factor for functional foods is also considered. |
