PURPOSE: To register in lateral and circumferential directions without necessitating a printer side wall disposed on the operation side or corresponding to the operation side, by a system wherein a helical gear is rotated by an axial movement, this rotation is transmitted to a plate cylinder through the intermediary of two spur gears and thereby the plate cylinder is rotated. CONSTITUTION: A helical drive gear 12 fitted to a shaft part 19 of a plate cylinder 20 through the intermediary of a bearing 31 is in engagement with a helical gear 16 supported by a support pin 22. The gear 16 is united with a spur gear 15 so that it can not rotate, and the gear 15 drives a spur gear 13 which is fitted to the shaft part 19 so that it can not rotate. The gears 15 and 16 can be moved axially by a device 26 on one side, while the plate cylinder 20 can be moved axially by a device 29 on the other side, and the gear 16 is rotated by the axial movement. This rotation is transmitted to the plate cylinder 20 through the intermediary of the gears 15 and 13 and thereby the plate cylinder 20 is rotated. |
