MANUFACTURE OF SLIPPERS

PURPOSE:To make it possible even for unskilled workers to produce slippers in a beautifully finished state without any deviation in the work of fitting positions stitched together by inserting the instep part of the slippers into the main sole of the slippers, and the edge of the instep and the intermediate plane into the recessed portion in almost automatically depressed state. CONSTITUTION:A top side material 10 with an integrated foam sponge-made foot-shape configuration is constituted by providing a recessed edge 9 that notches in L-shaped on the whole periphery of the bottom surface of feet, recessed portion 8 with a configuration fitting the bottom of feet onto the top surface in form monolithic molding. An instep path 22 is constituted by coating both the internal and external surfaces separately with both internal and external coating mateiral 21, 21' such as cloth and leather of cores made of sheet-like integrated- bobble sponge 20. The edge 23 is bonded to the bottom surface of the edge of an intermediate plate 24 made of thick paper by drawing in it with a drawing-in machine. In the next process, on the bottom of a main sole 13 the instep 22 is covered and fixed so that the edge 23 and the intermediate plate 24 of the instep 22 are depressed to the inside of the recessed portion 8 while all the points adjacent to the whole periphery of lower coating mateiral 1 and lower side mateiral 2, and all the edges 23 of the instep are stitched together with a thread 25, thus completing the production of slippers with the process of boding the portions stitched together with adhesive.
