PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution by providing a memory processing means which stores image data into addresses in a main scanning direction and reading the data in units of addresses in a subscanning direction. CONSTITUTION:The memory processing means 40 consists of a work memory 43, a couple of latch circuits 42 and 44 provided at its input and output stages, an address generating circuit 45 which generates write addresses, and an address generating circuit 46 which generates addresses for reading. This memory processing means 40 stores the image data into the addresses in the main scanning direction and reads the data in the units of the addresses in the subscanning direction. Consequently, processing for half-tone image estimation becomes possible without using any line memory and the constitution is simplified. |
