PURPOSE: To shorten a measurement time and improve measurement accuracy, by lessening the number of times of handling a material in an automatic operation method and using a required temperature control. CONSTITUTION: A dispersed substance 2 of carbon black and CTAB(cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide) is put in a container 21 resistant to high voltages, which is placed on a holding device 3. A gas is pressed into the container 1 from a gas source 4 via a gas pipe 5, so that the dispersed substance 2 is pressed through a pipe 6 out from a filter cartridge 7 in a flask 8 adjusted to keep a constant temperature. A solution of the CTAB of the dispersed substance 2 enters a measuring loop 9, with the filtered carbon back left behind. The CTAB of the solution is separated from other components in a column 10 and brought into a detector 13. A standard chromatographic curve is generated. An area under the curve is measured by an integrator 14, and moreover an area of the CTAB to a specific carbon black, that is, a non porous surface area is calculated from the area. |
