PURPOSE:To record or reproduce information correctly, by providing a shield member made of a conductor of a magnetic substance so as to surround the movable range of a magnetic head and shielding the leakage magnetic field from an information recording and reproduction head to a position readout head by means of the shield member. CONSTITUTION:A surrounding shield 13 made of a copper plate is provided for a base 7 so as to surround the movable range of a core 10 of a servo head 4 or a data head 5. In flowing a recording current to the data head 5, since the leakage magnetic field generated from the core 10 of the data head 5 is shielded with the shield 13, the magnetic field is not leaked to the core 10 of the servo head 4 to be noise, allowing to record or reproduce information correctly. |
