PURPOSE:To effectively control and generate character patterns by combining reference single element patterns with the types and parameters of single element with respect to characters and outputting them as the assembly of the types and the parameters of the single element when the character patterns are generated. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic equipment, the pattern generating system for displaying character codes is provided with a storing and holding means 106 and a storage means 107: the storing and holding means 106 stores and holds information for generating the single element patterns responding to the types of reference constituting each character code and the storage means 107 stored parameter information relating to the types of the groups of single elements 1-4 constituting one character code and the arrangement of indivisual single elements 1-4 with respect to the character code. Besides, outputting means 104 and 105 are provided. When one character code is displayed and outputted, they successively generate, combine, and output the pertinent single element patterns from the storing and holding manas 106 based on the types and the parameter information of the single elements which are stored in the storage means 107. Thus character patterns are effectively controlled and generated. |
