<p>The present invention relates to a mechanism for opening and closing the rear door of a trailer, particularly of an agricultural trailer. This opening and closing mechanism comprises, on each longitudinal side of the loading body, a longitudinal arm (6) able to pivot about a transverse pin (10) integral with the arm (6), the rear door of the loading body being fixed, at its corresponding edge, to the rear extremity of the arm (6), and, likewise on each side of the loading body, a hydraulic jack (17) with one end connected to a first pivot point (18) fixed to the corresponding side wall of the loading body and the other end connected to a second pivot point (16) mounted at the front of the arm (6) beyond the pivot pin (10) of the arm (6), the first articulation (18) being located below a horizontal axis passing through the pivot point (16) and to the rear of the pivot pin (10). The door is opened and closed by means of the jack (17) and the pivot pin (10) sits in a longitudinal oblong hole (11) of the loading body side wall. Means for moving the pivot pin (10) in its oblong hole (11) backwards when commencing to open the rear door of the loading body, and forwards at the end of closing the rear door, are provided so that the door executes a rearward movement when opening and a forward movement when closing. <IMAGE></p> |
