<p>PURPOSE:To accurately locate a position where a partial discharge is generated by providing plural detectors arranged in a metal container and means to obtain a spectrum intensity from these detected signals, and applying the relation of the detectors position and spectrum intensity. CONSTITUTION:The detector is constituted in such a manner that a detecting electrode 9 is supported at the inside surface of an end plate 7 of a hand hole 5 on metal container 3 through an insulator 8 and led out by an insulation terminal 10 to the outside of container 3 while keeping the insulation and air tightness, then connected to a locating device 20. The plural detectors S are confronted with a high voltage conductor 2 and arranged so as keeping a distance each other in the container 3. Then, a propagation in the container 3 of electromagnetic wave generated at the partial discharge is detected by each detector S, and a point made to have the maximum spectrum intensity is calculated from the corresponding relation between the spectrum intensity difference according to the distance difference from the generating point to each detector S and the positions of detectors S, and the partial discharge generating point is located. The accurate locating can be thereby attained with high sensitivity.</p> |
