PURPOSE:To achieve the strong braking force in both rotary directions of a rotary shaft, by means of a pair of twisted coil brake springs having different winding directions. CONSTITUTION:Both release rings 7, 8 are coupled through a pinion 9 at the position where the braking is applied in the forward/reverse rotation of a rotary shaft 3, and when functioning a solenoid 21 to rotate one release ring 7 against the resilient force of a brake spring 5 having one end stopped to the release ring 7 the other ring 8 will also rotate against the resilient force of the brake spring 6 by means of a pinion 9. Consequently the diameters of the spring brakes 5, 6 are lengthened thus to enable the free rotation of a movable hab 4 or the rotary shaft 3. |
