Wave-powered electrical energy generation plant - uses angled guide surfaces directing waves to propeller turbines driving respective generators

The generation plant has propeller turbine and generator stages (1, 2) and a pair of angled guide surface cooperating to define a funnel which directs the waves to the turbines. Pref. a number of propeller turbines (1) are positioned one above the other, each driving a respective generator (2), the enclosing housing supported by a submerged float (11), with a further float at the opposite end of each guide surface. Pref. sensors are used to detect the wave amplitude, with the inlet opening between the guide surfaces controlled accordingly for optimum turbine efficiency. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for different sea conditions.
