The child- and thiefproof vehicle security system consists of a brake lever with a cable link to the rear wheel brake. There is a button-operated catch which locks into a toothed ratchet or rack plus a switch coupled to the ignition circuit and a connected adjuster magnet to lock or free a locking element to hold the brake setting with the motor off. A spring magnet (17) should be fitted with springs (18) and when the adjuster magnet is energised moves the locking element (3) into release or locking position depending on the position of the springs relative their dead centre position. USE/ADVANTAGE - Spring magnet controls locking element to keep brake on with motor off, thus preventing vehicle from running away and preventing brake release until motor starts.
