PURPOSE:To obtain a monoclonal antibody having specificity for pathogenic viruses of fishes by fusing an immunized cell of a mammal immunized with a specific pathogenic viral antigen of fishes to a myelomatous cell and culturing the resultant hybridoma. CONSTITUTION:An immunized cell of a mammal is obtained by using one kind of pathogenic viral antigen for fishes selected from the group of infectious hematopoietic organ necrotic viruses(IHNV), infectious pancreatic necrotic viruses(IPNV) and halibut Rhabdoviruses(HRV). The resultant immunized cell is then fused to a myelomatous cell to provide a hybridoma, which is subsequently cultured. As a result, one kind of monoclonal antibody selected from monoclonal antibodies IgG and IgM against the infectious hematopoietic organ necrotic viruses, monoclonal antibodies IgG and IgM against the infectious pancreatic necrotic viruses and monoclonal antibodies IgG and IgM against the halibut Rhabdoviruses is obtained. |
