<p>A silver halide photographic material having at least one photographic constituent layer on a support is disclosed, said material contains a water-soluble high-molecular weight compound having a pyrazolone oxonol dye portion which is represented by the following general formula (A): (Dye)JoXp (A) where Dye is a pyrazolone oxonol dye portion that is left after eliminating the linkage and water-soluble high-molecular weight portions shown below from the compound obtained by reacting a water-soluble high-molecular weight compound with a pyrazolone oxonol dye; X is the water-soluble high-molecular weight portion that is left after eliminating the linkage portion shown below and the pyrazolone oxonol dye portion; J is a linkage portion selected from the group consisting of <CHEM> R min is a hydrogen atom or a substituent; o and p are each a positive integer, provided that o >/= p and that when o >/= 1, X may be the same or different molecules.</p> |
