PURPOSE:To remove substances causing nonspecific reaction in humor and prevent the adsorption loss of a substance to be measured, by filtrating urine and humor by a foamed or sintered body of synthetic resin treated with an immunologically-inactive substance in a measuring system. CONSTITUTION:A foamed body of polyvinyl formal is immersed hastily in a buffer solution of glycin-NaOH (pH 9.2; mu=0.24) containing BSA of 0.1% and EDTA of 5mg/ml, and then is taken out and dried, whereby a filter is obtained. The filter can be obtained also by immersing a sintered body of polypropylene hastily in a 0.5 percent water solution of BSA and drying the same later, or by immersing a sintered body of polyethylene hastily in a buffer solution of glycin containing rat serum albumin of 0.5% and drying the same later. The table shows compared results obtained by adding hCG to the urine of a healthy woman in no pregnancy filtrated by filters thus treated and not yet treated, respectively. The effectiveness of the treated filter is thereby made clear. |
