Water draining device for sheet metal frames of vehicle sliding roofs, extension roofs and the like, having at least one water discharge pipe, produced from sheet metal, for taking away water from a water channel formed by the frame and surrounding the roof opening over at least a part of its circumference, via an opening in the frame. The water discharge pipe is produced from sheet metal whose normal potential is at least approximately the same as the normal potential of the frame sheet metal. A collar which forms a support face on the frame is incorporated into the water discharge pipe. The water discharge pipe is permanently connected to the frame by crimping or riveting the one end of the water discharge pipe which adjoins the collar and is pushed through the frame opening. <IMAGE>
