PURPOSE:To surely detect a trouble and to specify the position of the trouble without having any access to a memory by adding the write/read data registers, other registers, the selectors, etc., to a processor, a memory control unit, and a main storage unit respectively. CONSTITUTION:The write/read data registers 1, 2, 4 and 5, the registers 13 and 12, and a selector 9, etc., are provided in a processor and a memory control unit MCU respectively. A main storage unit MSU has the same constitution as the processor and the MCU. At diagnosis of troubles, the trouble diagnostic request and the diagnostic data received from the register 1 of the processor are set to the register of the MCU of a device to be diagnosed and selected by the selector 9. The selected data is written into the register 5. The processor processes the contents of the register 1 obtained via the register 13 and the contents of the register 5 obtained via the register 4 with a comparator 10.
