PURPOSE:To enhance the storage life of recording data without increasing the number of irradiations of laser beam required in the erasure of recording data by using a membrane of an indium-antimony crystal to which germanium oxide is added as a recording film. CONSTITUTION:A ground protective film 6 composed of a photopolymer (2P) provided with track guide grooves is formed on a glass substrate 5. Next, the whole is introduced into an electron beam (EB) vapor deposition apparatus to be set at a predetermined position and, after the vapor deposition apparatus is evacuated, In, Sb and GeO2 respectively received in separate crucibles are simultaneously heated by electron beam to be evaporated. As a result, an In/Sb/GeO2 recording film 7 composed of an In1-xSbx crystal to which GeO2 is added is formed on the under protective film 6. In In1-xSbx, x is 0.5-0.65. Subsequently, the substrate 5 is taken out of the EB vapor deposition apparatus and a top protective film 8 composed of photopolymer (2P) is formed to complete an optical disk. |
