<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a base provided with a resistor being excellent in a sliding property and humidity resistance and having a low resistance value by a small number of processes by a method wherein the resistor provided on the surface of the base is constructed of two, upper and lower layers having different resistance values and the resistance value of the upper layer side is made higher than that of the lower layer side. CONSTITUTION:Lead terminals 3 to 5 are buried in a resistant base 1, while a resistant 6 is molded in the surface of the base so that is exposed on the same plane with said surface. The resistor 6 is composed of two, upper and lower layers being different in a resistance value, and the resistance value of a resistance layer 6a on th upper side is made higher than that of a resistance layer 6b on the lower side. Accordingly, the upper-side resistance layer 6a coming into slidable contact with a slider 25 contains more binder resin than the lower-side resistance layer 6b and the binder resin fills up pores among carbon powder particles sufficiently. According to this constitution, the resistor base being excellent in humidity resistance and resistance is obtained and, besides, the resistance value of the resistant is equal substantially to a low resistance value that the lower-side resistance layer has, due to a structure wherein the upper-side resistance layer and the lower-side resistance layer are connected in parallel electrically. Thus, the resistor base of the low resistance value is obtained.</p> |
