PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful for synthesizing L-alanine, determining trace amounts of putrescine, pyruvic acid, 4-aminobutanal, the L-alanine, etc., by culturing a specific microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism [e.g. Streptomyces.avellanues R-20 (FERM P-5443)], belonging to the genus Streptomyces and having the ability to produce putrescine : pyruvate transminase is cultured at 20-35 deg.C and pH6.0-8.0, preferably under stirred conditions with aeration to collect the objective compound from the culture thereof. |
