Protective sleeve for electrical (power) cables and method relating thereto

At each end of the sleeve 1 is provided a jaw support 5c whose passage opening 6c for the branch cable 7 is axially extended by an elongate hollow element 8 engaged in a frustoconical opening 6d made in another jaw support 5d which matches the frustoconical outer surface 9 of the said element 8. The branch cable 7 is retained in the frustoconical opening 6c of the first jaw support 5c by wedging means 11 engaged axially in the said frustoconical opening 6c. A sealing substance is placed between the cable 7 and the elongate hollow element 8. Use for protecting electrical-cable splices. <IMAGE>
