PURPOSE:To obviate the genertation of white lines even if continuous image formation is executed and to obtain sharp images by providing an under coating layer between a conductive base and org. photoconductive layer of a photosensitive body which is the image base. CONSTITUTION:The photpsensitive body 10 which is the image base is formed by ultrasonically cleaning the conductive base 11 consisting of a drum-shaped aluminum stock pipe and further cleaning the same with steam, then subjecting the base to a UV cleaning in order to remove the org. matter of the conductive base 11, then immersing the conductive base 11 in alcohol solvent nylon in order to form the org. photoconductive layer 12 of a negative polarity and further pulling up the base to form the under coating layer 13 thereon. The residues at the time of production on the conductive base 11 are convered by the undercoating layer 13 in this case and the crystallization of the charge generating material in the charge generating layer 12a is prevented. This method is particularly effective for the image base having <=40phi diameter as the deterioration in image quality is particularly significant with the small-sized image base. The appearance of the crystallized parts of the charge generating material as white lines on the images is obviated even if continuous printing is executed. The good images are thus obtd. |
