<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a brighter screen at a low gate driving voltage by using one electrode of a holding capacity element as a picture element electrode and the other electrode as a transparent conductive film which is provided on a gate insulation film and which is connected to a common picture element electrode. CONSTITUTION:Divided transparent picture element electrodes E1-E3, at an end opposite to the end to which a thin film trangister TFT is connected, are formed by bending them like a L shape so that they overlap a transparent auxiliary electrode ITO 1a on an insulation film GI. Because of overlapping, the holding capacity element Cadd, in which the devided transparent picture element electrodes E1-E3 and the transparent auxiliary electrode ITO 1a are used as one electrode PL2 and the other electrode PL1, respectively, is constituted. The transparent auxiliary electrode ITO 1a is con nected to the common transparent picture element electrode via a silver paste material, and the dielectric film of the holding capacity elelment Cadd is composed of the same layer as a protective film PSV 1. Thus, even if a holding capacity is increased, aperture ratio does not decrease, and the screen is made brighter; since a heavy load is not applied to a gate driving device, it is not necessary to increase the gate driving voltage.</p> |
