PURPOSE:To simply and effectively restore a software development environment in an optional generation by restoring the past software development environment in accordance with a differential file and a differential source file when the restoring specification of the software development environment is applied. CONSTITUTION:The initial software development environment 1 is individually formed as a differential source file 2, and when the environment 1 is changed, the changed contents are compared with the file 2 and a change is found out and formed as a differential file 3. In case of restoring the environment 1, the file 3 is applied to the file 2 to restore the software development environment in the required generation. Consequently, the software development environment in each generation can be efficiently controlled as a differential file and the software development in a required generation can be simply and efficiently restored.
