The invention relates to a process for the high-frequency binding of a product consisting of PVC sheets and of a cover, the outside of which is not made of PVC, and to the product obtained by carrying out the said process. The process involves bonding a PVC sheet (5) inside the cover, arranging the stacked PVC sheets (1) on the cover (2) and welding the sheets (1) and cover by high frequency in the region of a folding line (7) by applying high-frequency welding means (6) on either side of this folding line (7).
