<p>A fixing system for building facing panels, either transparent or opaque, has at least one edge of each panel (14) made with a lengthwise groove (16) along the centre to provide a grip for an anchoring bracket (18) which is fitted with seals (20,22) inside the facing layer. In variants of the design the panels can have the lengthwise grooves (16) along two opposite edges, or along three or all four edges, depending on the degree of security required. The panels can be made in one piece from a tempered and grooved material, or from number of layers, with the inner layers of smaller dimensions than the outer ones so that they form grooves when fitted together.</p> |
