The varnish is designed for the impregnation of windings of electric motors, devices, transformers, etc. and equipment, as well as electric insulation fabrics of heat-resistant class "F" (155 degrees C). It provides improved cementing properties and increased dry matter content at technological viscosities, it dries well in thick layers and provides high electric insulation properties. The impregnation varnish contains in weight %: resin composition consisting of polyesterimide resin 22 - 25, phenol-formaldehyde resin 8 - 13, epoxy resin 20 - 25 and organic solvents 3) - 45. The polyesterimide resin contains free hydroxyl radical groups 5.5 - 8 % and 5 imide cycles 7 - 11 % and the phenol-formaldehyde is of the "Novolac" - type containing free phenol less than 3 %. The epoxy resin is of the dian type, low molecular with epoxy equivalent 0.3-0.5 equiv. /100 g. The organic solvent is a mixture of hydroaromatic ketone, aromatic hydrocarbon and aliphatic alcohol.
