PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber sole for a shoe with its side portion and ground contact surface having different properties from each other by disposing materials for the side portion and the instep lapping portion in a lower mold, disposing a ground contact surface material in an upper mold, pressing a middle mold to an extent so that unvulcanized rubber is not vulcanized after interposing it between the two molds, taking the middle mold out, mating and pressing the upper and lower molds together, and vulcanizing the rubber material. CONSTITUTION:Rubber material for constituting a side portion 5 and instep lapping portion is disposed in a lower mold 1. Rubber material for constituting a ground contact surface 6 and part of the side portion is disposed in an upper mold 2. The upper mold 2 and a middle mold 3 are joined together and laid on the lower mold 1 and they are pressed for forming. The molds are pressed and heated to the extent not to vulcanize the unvulcanized rubber. The middle mold 3 is taken out. The upper mold 2 is placed on the lower mold 1 in a set and pressed and heated for full vulcanization. Because the side portion 5 and the ground contact surface 6 respectively of different rubber material are formed in a body, a totally new type of rubber sole may be provided with its side portion 5 made of a rubber material in many colors having elasticity and its ground contact surface made of a rubber material of a favorable wear resistance and non-slip property. |
