Device for countering and providing support for inguinal hernias. The invention relates to a device with which it is possible to counter the escape of the inguinal hernia. It consists of a flexible envelope which is outwardly convex 1, reinforced circularly 2, with a cavity 3 protecting a valve 4 and its cap 5. A plane surface 6 on which is provided a securing means, either by rapid adhesive attachment 8 or by pressure rivets 9, or by magnetic securing, the latter consisting of permanently magnetised steel granules 10. An undergarment 11 inside which there is placed, in the weaving, a small bag 12 containing iron granules 13. The outer convex surface 1 is either of uniform thickness or is reinforced starting from the centre 7; another inner convex surface 14 forms a spongy bag 15. A small flexible connection piece 16 is screwed to the muff 17 of a small hand pump 18 or to that of a small compressed air bottle 19. Another magnetic securing means can be formed by a fine plaiting 20 or chainmail 21 of metal. <IMAGE>
