PURPOSE:To gather automatically and selectively only data of electronic cash registers ECRs belonging to a designated classification code, by storing classification codes in table memories to which respecrive ECRs belong and designating the classification code before data gathering to retrieve the table memory. CONSTITUTION:Many ECRs ECR1-ECRn are connected through a data transmission line, and this transmission line is connected to a data gathering device 10. Classification codes to which respective ECRs ECR1-ECRn belong are stored in a memory 13 connected to a CPU12 of the device 10 by the operation on a keyboard 14. A classification code of the data gathering object is inputted from the keyboard 14 before data gathering, and this designated classification code is inputted to the CPU12. The classification processing routine is executed in the CPU12 which receives this classification code, and the memory 13 is retrieved to gather only data from ECRs ECR1-ECRn belonging to this classification code through a transmitting device 11. |
