PURPOSE:To enable nozzles of a multi-nozzle recording head to perform a stable liquid drip delivery by a method the head is provided with a plurality of pressure chambers, ink delivery orifices, and ink supply paths, and a porous member for absorbing vibration is provided on the inner wall of a common ink reservior on the side of the ink supply paths. CONSTITUTION:A porous member provided on the inner wall of a common ink reservoir on the side of ink supply paths is made of a hydrophilic polymer material, which consists of at least one of a polyvinyl alcohol and a vinyl ace tate copolymer. Pressure waves generated in pressure chambers 2 are transmit ted to ink delivery orifices 1 as an ink delivery energy. However, the pressure waves are also transmitted to the ink reservoir 5 through the ink supply paths 3. The pressure waves transmitted to the ink reservoir 5 are absorbed and damped by the porous member 4 provided on the inner wall of the ink reservoir 5 on the side of the ink supply paths 3, thus never being transmitted into the ink reservoir 5 and also retransmitted to the side of the pressure chambers 2. |
