PURPOSE:To improve operability by providing a switch which turns on and off the action of a displaying means before and after the image forming action of the device main body. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent displaying tube 11c is in an on-state at the time of connecting a power source and display is carried out. When an image formation starting key (not shown in diagram) is turned on in this state, the image forming action is started. On the other hand, when the starting key is not turned on, a key switch 11d is turned off and the fluorescent displaying tube 11c is made to be in an off state and the display is turned off. Thus, the image forming action is started only when the fluorescent displaying tube 11c is displayed. Further, by turning on the key switch 11d, when the fluorescent displaying tube 11c whose display has been turned off once is turned on, the displaying control is returned to the state at the time of connecting the power source. Thus, power consumption of the whole device can be cut down, and the operability can be improved. |
