PURPOSE:To obtain a mass spectrometry having high resolution and high ion attainability by removing the influence both of ion speed distribution and energy distribution. CONSTITUTION:Voltage, wherein the voltage from power supply 3d for a reflector is potentially divided by resistors R1 to Rn, is impressed to form a tilting electric field linearly increasing in proportion to the ion flight direction. Ions guided by this tilting electric field is pushed back to rush into an MCP (microchannel plate) 3a, while a mass spectrum is obtained from this output. A position of an entrance of a free drift part 2 is made to be F.P.(focusing, Point), consequently the influence due to speed distribution of each ion passed through an acceleration electrode 1b is removed, moreover the ions guided to an ion reflector 3 has a fixed flight time inside the ion reflector 3. Thereby, mass spectrometry measurement of high resolution becomes possible, further only one sheet mesh electrode exists on an ion flight journey so that a drop in ion attainability to a detector comes to be excluded. |
