<p>The support for a cut flower or plant comprises a medium-contg. sachet with flexible walls of a material resisting inadvertent tearing or piercing whilst a portion, pref. an insert secured to the sachet, permits piercing when required to allow introducing a stem such that this is sealingly held. The insert may consist of foam plastic, pref. closed-cell medium-density polythene foam. The sachet pref. contains a water-moistened, e.g. starch-based, gel. The walls pref. consist of a polyamide-polythene laminate with around 15 micron and 50 micron thickness, respectively.</p> |
