PURPOSE:To realize a small-size recorder as a whole caused by a small-size waste ink container by a method wherein a waste ink to be discharged into a waste ink container is penetrated to be prevented from splashing, a member capable of absorbing the waste ink is provided, and the end part of a waste ink tube supported. CONSTITUTION:On a part corresponding to a waste ink tube insertion port 31A of a waste ink part 31, a waste ink tube end part supporting member 33 having a sufficient thickness is raised so that the lower end of the supporting member 33 can be kept in contact with a waste ink absorbing member 32. To the tube end part supporting member 33 consisting of a material allowing a sufficient ink infiltration, for example, a resin material, a waste ink tube 34 can be easily attached or detached. When a recovery action is conducted by a suction pump, a waste ink 110 is discharged to the waste ink part 31. At this time, since the end of the waste ink tube 34 is kept inserted into the supporting member 33, the waste ink 110 is de-energized without splashing thereabouts, infiltrated through the supporting member 33 down to the waste ink absorbing member 32, and kept in the state of being absorbed in the member 32. |
