摘要 1306397 Polymerization catalyst SOLVAY & CIE and SCHERING AG 30 Oct 1970 [8 Nov 1969] 51719/70 Heading C3P A catalyst for the polymerization of olefins and/or dienes comprises (a) a halide, oxyhalide, ester or haloester of a transition metal of Group IVa to VIII (including Th and U) and (b) a product comprising an aluminium-diene oligomer of formula Y 1 -AlR 1 -(R 2 -AlR 2 -) x -Y 2 wherein R 1 is a C 1 to C 20 alkyl radical which is not branched α or # to the aluminium; R 2 is a divalent radical of formula or a dimer thereof; each of R 3 and R 4 is H, alkyl, phenyl or an alkenyl group having an internal double bond; each of Y 1 and Y 2 is H or an alkyl radical which is branched in the position # to the aluminium; and x is 1 to 10. Alternatively component (b) may be a heterocyclic compound derived from the oligomer defined above by removal of the terminal groups -AlR 1 Y 1 and -Y 2 and ring closure of the remaining moiety. Component (b) may be prepared by the reaction of the diene with AlR 1 R 5 R 6 , where each of R 5 and R 6 is H or an alkyl radical branched # to the aluminium, e.g. isobutyl. This compound may itself be prepared by reacting (i-Bu) 3 Al or (i-Bu) 2 AlH with a C 2 to C 20 alkene or with Al(R 1 ) 3 . Oligomers from Al(i-Bu) 2 Et and isoprene, AI(i-Bu) 2 (noctyl) and isoprene, and Al(i-Bu) 2 (n-Bu) and butadiene are used in various combinations with TiCl 4 , 3TiCl 3 .AlCl 3 , α- or #-TiCl 3 , TiCl 2-3 (-O- octyl) 1À7 and VCl 4 to polymerize ethylene, propylene or butadiene.
