Guided missile control procedure - using on-board camera and transducer data communicating with ground control

The equipment housed in the nose of the missile includes a video camera. Measurement and picture data are transmitted to the ground station in duplex mode. Control commands are transmitted to the missile. The camera platform is fitted with measurement transducers to give position information in two axes, similar to gyroscope systems. Roll angle is measured and correct by jets. The altitude of the missile is continually monitored. ADVANTAGE - Does not require course correction points to be previously entered in computer to avoid side deviations from flight path.
