The system provided for inspection and analysis of manufactured parts using computer aided design (CAD) data for a manufactured part and standard geometric dimension and tolerance call-outs. The system provides a display arranged for displaying simultaneously a design data model of the manufactured part and an inspection path about the model for inspecting predetermined features of the part. If a modification of the inspection path is required, a function is entered through the keyboard and a cursor or vector on the display is controlled by the user. A menu of changes is then displayed to the user. To add points or to reroute the path to avoid obstacles the required function is selected and the cursor is moved to successive points along the display to indicate the new path. The new points are entered through the keyboard to modify the program describing the inspection path. <IMAGE> |
