A laminate (10) of aluminium or aluminium alloy (3) sheet and an amorphous linear polyester according to the formula: &lsqbstr& O- @-R1-@-(-O-R2-) @ &rsqbstr& in which A is an integer, R1 is a divalent hydrocarbon group at least 60 mole % of which consists of p-phenylene groups R2 is a divalent hydrocarbon group at least 60 mole % of which consists of -C2H4- groups with A=1, having a molecular weight of at least 14,000 as measured by gel permeation chromatography. The laminate is suitable for deep drawing to form container bodies. |
