<p>A clamping device for fixing parts during contact butt welding comprises two hydraulic cylinders (1, 2) oppositely mounted on the one side of the joint (3), and a hydraulic cylinder (6) and a support (7) mounted on the other side of the joint, level pick-ups (36, 37) contacting with the surfaces (38) of the parts (4, 5) to be centered and a system for controlling the hydraulic cylinders (1, 2 and 6). The system for controlling the hydraulic cylinders (1 and 2) includes an electrohydraulic three-position proportional distributor (9) whose input (10) is connected to the outputs of the pick-ups (36, 37) and the outputs are each connected to one of the rod chambers of the hydraulic cylinders (1, 2). The device is intended preferably for use in rail-welding installations.</p> |
