PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of an electric contact part of an assembly by providing means for sealing a lamp socket assembly in a panel. CONSTITUTION: A lamp 16 is held in a lamp socket assembly 10 by stop fingers 36a and 36b, and the stop fingers are formed integrally with a main body 14 and connected in hinge style and elastically to a main part of the main body 14. A lamp base part 17 has a protrusion where a pair of grooves 39a and 39b are geared with grooves 39a and 39b at stop fingers 38a and 38b, and the lamp 16 is fixed in a lamp socket assembly. When a lamp socket assembly 10 is mounted in a tail lamp part of an automobile, a panel is pinched between a lag bottom face and a flange seal 18, and the assembly can be properly sealed against water by compressing a seal 18 at a specified pressure. Thereby, corrosion at an electric contact can be prevented.
