PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which prevents short circuit caused by the ingress of iron powder, etc. SOLUTION: According to the battery pack 1, a plurality of battery cells 6 are stored in a battery case, and cooling vent openings 2b are formed on an upper case. A magnet 8 is placed in the battery case (lower case 2B), where the magnet 8 is arranged near the vent openings 2b in the lower case 2B along the longish side of the battery cells 6 to be located close to the middle between the electrodes of the battery cells 6. As a result, if iron powder, etc., carried by cooling wind comes in the battery case through the cooling vent openings 2b formed on the upper case, the iron powder, etc., is attracted by the magnet 8 and never floats in the battery case.
