<p>PURPOSE:To control the tape tension of a magnetic tape running in the take-up direction constant. CONSTITUTION:When the recording/reproducing operation is performed inversely to the tape 28 running in the take-up direction (direction of the arrow E), a tension band 122 is moved to the braking position by a changeover arm 124. The braking force is applied to a rotation part 37 by means of the tension band 122 at the braking position through a tension band 22. The turning force Ms based on the pressing force G of a tension spring 19 and the turning force Mt based on the tape tension of the tape 28 are applied to a tension arm 117. Thereby, the control turning force (Mt-Ms) acts on the tension arm 117 as the turning force to actually make the tension arm 117 turn, and the braking force having a negative correlation with the tape tension is applied against the rotation part 37 of a reel base 14 by the tension band 122.</p> |
