A device for reheating and dispensing cooked meals arranged on a meal tray and stored on stand-by in a refrigerated enclosure. Each tray may contain different foodstuffs, and can therefore be selected by the consumer. Reheating is carried out by a sliding oven (7) on an endless ballscrew (3), assisted by two slide rails (5). The oven (7) moves in front of the selected tray. In the refregerated enclosure (1), trays are stacked on shelves (21) with slide rails (23), and endless screw (8) slides a camshaft (10) provided with snugs (12) so that it triggers the tray-moving mechanism (11), and a detector (14) determines which snug corresponds to the selected tray. Once the snug is engaged in the mechanism (11) the camshaft (10) rotates from left to right and vice-versa to activate the mechanism's (11) rocker bars (22) which slide the tray into or out of the oven. |
