The invention refers to the treatment of mechanical high yield pulps produced from vegetable raw materials, particularly wood material, and concerns mainly removal of resin, which is an undesirable component of the pulp. In this invention the removal provides a simpler and more effective manner for resin removal than previously by utilizing known machines and equipment. The pulp at high pulp concentration, such as 7 - 20 %, is exposed to fully developed turbulence and thereafter to dewatering through pressing or in any other suitable manner. The invention is used during production of mechanical pulp, which is to be used in cardboard for the packaging of food, and for qualities such as tissue pulp and fluffed pulp. |
